Preliminary Design for Supporting Wharf Project of Putian LNG Terminal Approved by Ministry of Transport
The preliminary design for the supporting wharf of our company's Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) receiving station project has been approved by the Ministry of Transport. This approval marks a significant milestone for the project, laying a solid foundation for the commencement of construction.During the approval process, strong support was received from the Ministry of Transport, the provincial government of Fujian, the municipal government of Putian, and other relevant departments including those responsible for transportation, development and reform, port and shipping, maritime safety, natural resources, ecological environment, emergency management, quality and safety supervision, and the pilot station.
The wharf project is located in the Dongwu operation area of Meizhou Bay Port. It involves the construction of one 150,000 tonne LNG berth, capable of accommodating LNG vessels up to 217,000 cubic meters, with a designed annual throughput capacity of 6 million tonnes. The project also includes the construction of a workboat wharf, an approach bridge, a flare platform, dredging of the harbor basin and connecting waters, navigation aids, and other related supporting facilities.The wharf is a crucial component of the LNG receiving station project. Its implementation is of great significance for fully leveraging the resource advantages of Meizhou Bay Port, enhancing the natural gas supply and storage capacity for Fujian Province and the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, as well as surrounding areas, and promoting economic development in both eastern and western China.
In the next step, the project team will proceed with the construction drawing design and the various approval and filing procedures required for construction commencement, in accordance with relevant laws, regulations, and the requirements stipulated in the preliminary design approval, to ensure the smooth implementation of the project.
