Putian Municipal Party Committee Leaders Conduct Field Investigation of Putian LNG Project

On December 25, 2021, Fu Chaoyang, Secretary of the Putian Municipal Party Committee, conducted a field investigation of the Hanas Putian liquefied natural gas (LNG) project site. Huang Zhenyao, Member of the Standing Committee and Secretary-General of the Municipal Party Committee, participated in the investigation. Lin Xiulan, Secretary of the Party Working Committee of Meizhou Bay North Bank Economic Development Zone, and Kong Ansheng, General Manager of the Putian company, accompanied the investigation.

During the investigation, Fu Chaoyang inspected the Putian LNG project site to learn in detail about the project's progress and issues requiring coordination and resolution. He emphasized that the Hanas Putian LNG project is a major project under Fujian-Ningxia cooperation and a key project at the national, provincial, and municipal levels. It is necessary to strengthen factor guarantees, establish a special task force, facilitate coordination between the city and districts, work together, see it through to the end, and make every effort to tackle difficulties and resolve bottlenecks. He pointed out that it is essential to plan thoroughly before acting, focus on the functional layout, plan ahead in different areas for the industrial system, support system, and collection and distribution system, balance short-term and long-term goals, and prioritize breakthroughs in mature areas. The focus should be on key tasks, not only solidly promoting industrial development, deeply tapping into existing potential, and unleashing the capabilities of existing leading enterprises, but also seizing the policy window period to expand effective investment and improve investment efficiency.

Kong Ansheng expressed that the successful landing of the Hanas Putian LNG receiving terminal project in Putian City is inseparable from the care and support of the Putian Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government. In the next step, the project will vigorously advance various preparatory work before construction to ensure commencement and completion according to schedule, contributing to the economic development of Putian City. He indicated that in the future, the Hanas Putian LNG receiving terminal project will upgrade and improve the industrial chain, coordinately develop hydrogen energy and other new energy sources, and contribute to the development of Putian's new energy industry.
