Group Chairman Came to Putian for Project Inspection

As the first major energy project of Fujian-Ningxia Collaboration, Hanas Putian LNG Receiving Terminal project was approved by the National Development and Reform Commission in December 2021. The project is planned to start construction in 2022. The Group's leadership attaches great importance to the project, Chairman Ma Fuqiang led a team to Putian to conduct research, was briefed by the project headquarters on the pre-construction progress, and gained an in-depth understanding of the overall industrial development plan of Putian.

On February 23, Ma Fuqiang and his party held in-depth exchanges with Putian Municipal Party Committee Secretary Fu Chaoyang and Mayor Lin Xuyang focusing on enhancing bilateral cooperation. Present at the meeting were Chen Zhiqiang, Member of the Standing Committee of the Putian Municipal Party Committee and Executive Vice Mayor; Zheng Jiaqing, Member of the Standing Committee of the Putian Municipal Party Committee and Secretary of the Political and Legal Affairs Committee; Huang Zhenyao, Member of the Standing Committee of the Putian Municipal Party Committee and Secretary-General of the Municipal Party Committee; Yang Xingbin, Secretary-General of the Municipal Government; Lin Xiulan, Secretary of the Beibang Party Working Committee; and Yu Xiaodong, Director of the Management Committee, among others. Group Vice President Wang Shaobo, Kong Ansheng, General Manager of Hanas Putian Company, and Yang Hong, General Commander of the Putian Project, accompanied the visit.

Fu Chaoyang welcomed the arrival of Ma Fuqiang and his party. First, he congratulated on the launch of the first major energy project under the Fujian-Ningxia Collaboration in Putian and looked forward to the contribution the project will make to the economic development of Putian. He said that Meizhou Bay is located in the middle of the coast of Fujian Province. It is named after Meizhou Island at the mouth of the Bay and faces Taichung Port in Taiwan across the sea. It is also a multi-berth natural deep-water port that is "rare in China and uncommon in the world". The Putian area and its surrounding areas have strong energy demand. Hanas Putian LNG Receiving Terminal has played an important role in the overall development, industrial agglomeration and industrial supporting of Putian. The Putian Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government will continue to provide a better environment for the development of enterprises. It is hoped that Hanas Fujian Energy Group will fully support the development of Putian region and achieve mutual benefit and win-win results.

On behalf of Hanas Group, Ma Fuqiang expressed his gratitude to the Putian Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government for their concern and support for the Hanas Putian LNG Receiving Terminal. He said that Hanas Group has achieved good business development performance, which is not only due to the efforts of the enterprise itself, but also inseparable from the strong support of the leaders of the governments of Fujian and Ningxia. He pointed out that the project can not only improve the country's natural gas supply and storage capacity and ensure energy security, but also facilitate vertical integration of the industrial chain through upgrades and improvements, and achieve synergistic development with new energy sources like hydrogen energy. In the future, Hanas will leverage the momentum of Putian City's initiative to "accelerate port-industry-city synergy" to achieve new successes in the new energy industry and boost the agglomeration of Putian's new energy industry. It is hoped that the Putian Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government will continue to support the operation and development of Hanas Fujian Energy Group.

During the inspection, Ma Fuqiang and his party came to the project's location – the North Bank Economic Development Zone – to communicate with the leaders of the development zone. Lin Xiulan, Secretary of the Party Working Committee of the Development Zone, Yu Xiaodong, Director of the Management Committee, and Weng Liangda, Deputy Secretary, and others attended. Ma Fuqiang and his party gained a detailed understanding of the industrial layout and the development of ports and new energy projects, and held thorough discussions integrated with the future industrial development of Hanas Fujian Energy Group. He pointed out that the Putian LNG Receiving Terminal should actively promote the coordination of gas storage capacity, innovate the cooperation mode between Fujian and Ningxia, and speed up the construction of two natural gas "production, supply, marketing, and storage" clean energy centers centered on Ningxia and Fujian, forming a pattern of "mutual promotion between East and West, and coordination between sea and land" in accordance with the relevant deployment requirements of the National Development and Reform Commission and the governments of Fujian and Ningxia. He stressed that in the process of project construction, it is essential to strictly control the quality, safety and environmental standards of all links, build the project to high standards, strive to promote the early completion and operationalization of the project, and make greater contributions to the economic development of Fujian and Ningxia.
