Hanas Putian LNG terminal project was approved by the national development and Reform Commission
December 14, 2021, the national development and Reform Commission approved the construction of Hanas Putian LNG terminal project. The total investment of phase I of the project is about 526.52 million yuan. It is planned to build a special LNG berth, two 200000 m3 LNG tanks and supporting processes, utilities and auxiliary engineering facilities in Dongwu port area of Meizhou Bay Port, with an annual LNG receiving capacity of 5.65 million tons.
Hanas Putian LNG terminal project is a major project in the national 13th five year plan and the first major energy project invested and constructed by Ningxia in Fujian Province, marking the transformation of Fujian & Ningxia cooperation from one-way investment to two-way mutual assistance.
After the implementation of the project, according to the layout principle of "one national network", the construction of LNG terminal export pipeline will be promoted, and the interconnection with the third west east gas transmission line , so as to contribute to national energy security, which is of great significance for Fujian Province to explore the establishment of gas storage peak shaving market-oriented operation mechanism and provide gas storage peak shaving market-oriented services. At the same time, the implementation of the project will also provide fair and just unloading, storage and gasification services for third-party users, and lay a solid foundation for Putian to build a national LNG strategic reserve base.
